Happy Father's Day, DOGHD!

I picked this song out for my dad because (1) he's the one that I inherited my love & appreciation for the great artist, Tom Petty & (2) I don't think I could pick out another song that would best describe one of the greatest lessons I've learned from him, don't back down... Just today as I was talking with him on the phone he gave me these words of wisdom, "When you feel like you're at the end of your rope, tie a knot in it & hold on a little longer."

I love you Dad!  Thank you for always being there for me!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY & FATHER's DAY!

American Legion Riders Bridge Party

This past Sunday morning Jay photographed the American Legion Riders Biker Bridge Party in Duncanville, TX at the Duncanville Rd./I-20 bridge. This was a send-through, so to speak, hosted by local Legion members for a larger group of American Legion Riders traveling through the DFW. Check out the slideshow!

Mother's Day 2010

It's actually hard for me to view this posting without starting to tear up. It's been 10 years since I've lived in San Antonio with my family & I love these people so much! Every time I visit now, the drive back to Dallas gets harder to make. On my last visit, we took my mom out to Fredericksburg, TX for a picnic at the Wildflower Seed Farm for Mother's Day. Here are some of my favorite pics of the family. Thank you Jay for keeping your cool & taking some great portraits that we will all cherish!

Mr. M Bluebonnet Portraits

This sweet boy was one of the children I was able to photograph during my bluebonnet mini session.
We were able to get a few smiles out of him on this sunny day in April.
Thank you Harmon family for signing up for our session & letting me meet this precious guy!

Love Affair 2010 Workshop

There is an amazing group of professional women that have put together a weekend workshop called "Love Affair." This is to help professional women, who may hold many other roles as well, fall back in love with their business & the passion they have for it that inspired them to create in the first place. They are giving away many goodies this week, including a free spot to the workshop! Here's hoping!!

"I want a UNO DVD and a shot at the scholarship to the Love Affair Workshop! http://www.loveaffairworkshop.com"

The Bagley's + 1 on the way...

This was a very special portrait session for me! Christy & I have been friends since '05 when we started teaching together. Two years ago I helped photograph her wedding to Tres, & now their first son is on the way in a matter of weeks & I couldn't be happier for the two of them! It really is beautiful when you see two people that are completely in love with each other & light up when the other is around.
These two are going to make remarkable parents!
Thank you Christy & Tres, CONGRATS!

Gabi's Maternity Portraits

It was such a privilege to take portraits for one of my best friends during one of the happiest times in her life!
Gabi has always been so full of joy & laughter but I've never seen her glow like this.
Gabi & Charles, I had so much fun photographing you two, thank you!

Heath's One Year Portraits

This little man is no stranger in my portfolio. I have been blessed to take photos of him for the 1st year of his life. I love his smile and his general state of contentment that have seemed to rub off from his mom.
I can't wait to see this guy grow up and take on more of his own personality over the years!

Christina's Bridals

Last summer, my good friend, Christina, asked me to take her bridal portraits. Of course we couldn't post them at the time but with the hustle & bustle of the wedding, then all transition we've gone through since, I've let way too much time go by. So here they are, FINALLY!
Thank you again, Christina, for being such a patient & loving friend. Here's to the journey ahead!

Emily's Portraits

Last summer I had an amazing time taking portraits of my friend, Emily. We wanted to take some fun "seductive librarian" photos so we chose the SMU Law Library. Since we were sneaking around and trying to be quiet it totally added to the naughty element! I LOVE the way these turned out and wish it had not taken me so long to get them posted.
Thank you, Emily, for being such a great model. Enjoy!
